My miniature roses are blooming and so full of buds for future blooms! I sure hope they do better this year than they did last year!

Cool Nature
I love nature (except snakes)! These photos are of a cicada emerging from its "shell" and another cicada drying its wings after coming out of its "shell". I've seen them drying their wings before but this is the first time I've ever seen one coming out of its "shell"!

Thar She Blows!
We've had a lot of rain over the past 3 weeks. This blow-hole is evidence of just how much rain has come down. The blow-hole is the result of the spillway system that runs under the dam between Lake Cypress and Lake Bob Sandlin. It's hard to believe that 2-1/2 years ago, this lake was almost dry because of the drought!

Mr. Milo
Meet Mr. Milo! He is about 3 1/2 months old here and has not grown at all since I got him about 2 months ago. He's so sweet and LOVES our quality snuggle time!

Peek-A-Boo!
I love this photo! I was sitting on the deck watching the baby squirrels empty the bird feeders. At one point we had 3 baby squirrels, 1 large squirrel, and 1 black squirrel in the feeders! Squirrels have to eat too!

Odd Bird
We've been seeing two of these birds in our backyard for the past three days. Even though we have five bird feeders, this bird prefers the hummingbird feeders! It actually drinks out of the hummingbird feeders! Never seeds . . . just juice!
