"Hot enough for ya?" This thermometer stays pretty much in the shade all day. If it's this hot in June I can't imagine what the rest of the summer is gonna be like!!!!

What an awesome day at the lake we had!! Teri was thrilled when these two dragonflies decided to take a break on her hand and arm. We've decided that we need to spend much more time at the lake more often!

Room With A View

This is the view from our room at the Horseshoe Casino/Hotel in Bossier, LA. We were on the 20th floor. Leland likes to be as high in the hotel as possible. This hotel has 27 floors.

Thar She Blows!

We've had a lot of rain over the past 3 weeks. This blow-hole is evidence of just how much rain has come down. The blow-hole is the result of the spillway system that runs under the dam between Lake Cypress and Lake Bob Sandlin. It's hard to believe that 2-1/2 years ago, this lake was almost dry because of the drought!

This is the train that Lenny "Choo-Choo Man" Bisque is REALLY looking forward to training on. He completed his training on the ash train over a week ago and will begin training on the lignite train soon. This big train pulls 125 cars of coal.

Meet Mr. Milo! He is about 3 1/2 months old here and has not grown at all since I got him about 2 months ago. He's so sweet and LOVES our quality snuggle time!

I love this photo! I was sitting on the deck watching the baby squirrels empty the bird feeders. At one point we had 3 baby squirrels, 1 large squirrel, and 1 black squirrel in the feeders! Squirrels have to eat too!

Odd Bird

We've been seeing two of these birds in our backyard for the past three days. Even though we have five bird feeders, this bird prefers the hummingbird feeders! It actually drinks out of the hummingbird feeders! Never seeds . . . just juice!
